🔑 Key Handover – Cleaning & Documentation
The contract is now officially concluded. The handover will take place between the previous tenant and the new tenant.
New tenant: Please bring the receipts for the deposit and rent payments to the key handover.
Both tenants: Please also bring a printed copy of the handover protocol to the appointment: Key-Exchange Protocoll
Handover Protocol
Previous tenant: On the day of the key handover, the room must be handed over clean. The shared areas of the apartment must also be thoroughly cleaned – in cooperation with the other flatmates.
The flatmates should be informed in good time so they can complete their share of the cleaning in the common areas.
Shared areas:
- Dispose of garbage bags, bottles, and cans
- Clean kitchen including oven, refrigerator, and storage shelves
- Clean bathroom, toilets, and living room including windows
In the bedroom, the following items must be washed at 60 °C:
- Dvala mattress cover
- Gruslav mattress protector
- Pillow
- Duvet
- Brunkrisla pillow and mattress cover
- Mattress (cover, as far as possible)
Important: If the bedding (including pillows, duvet, covers, or mattress protector) is no longer in good condition or hygienically sound, it must be replaced by the tenant.
Additional cleaning tasks in the bedroom:
- Vacuum under the bed and behind the wardrobe and dresser
- Remove cobwebs
- Clean window sills and windows
Additionally:
- The key number of the bedroom and the apartment door must be noted in the handover protocol.
- A PDF with photos documenting all items in the protocol must be submitted.

🕓 Handover Process:
The entire handover process, including information on the laundry room, laundry rules, waste disposal, and visitor parking, takes approximately 40 minutes.
Please complete the protocol together and have it signed by both parties.
💰 Refund of the Deposit:
The previous tenant must provide the following information in the handover protocol:
- Bank account details including name and address of the account holder
Please scan the completed protocol clearly and send it via email to Stuwo and to the new tenant.
Only with a fully completed protocol can the deposit be refunded within approximately 8–12 weeks.
